December 22, 2022

Halifax Harbour Bridges is once again making it a little easier for friends and families to visit on Christmas Day.

The Commission charged with the safe and efficient operation of cross harbour transportation announced Friday it will not be charging tolls on the Angus L. Macdonald or A. Murray MacKay bridges on Sunday, Dec. 25, 2022, to celebrate the Christmas holiday.

The toll-free period will be in effect for 24 hours starting at 12 a.m. Sunday morning.

“The decision to waive tolls on Christmas Day is one way we can say thank you to our employees and customers,” said CEO Tony Wright. “We can’t do anything about the weather, but this is a little something we can do to help facilitate a little togetherness after what has been a trying year for many people.”
