Expect traffic delays as MacKay Bridge closes July 12-July 15 weekend

The A. Murray MacKay Bridge will be closed to traffic this weekend to allow for maintenance and construction projects previously postponed because of rain.

The closure will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, July 12. The bridge will reopen to vehicles Monday, July 15 at 5:30 a.m.

This closure will cause delays. Plan your travel accordingly. The Angus L. Macdonald Bridge will be open as usual, but traffic volumes will be higher than normal. Use alternate routes; take the ferry or bus, and allow plenty of extra time to reach your destination.
