MacKay Bridge closes this weekend for construction

The first of four planned weekend closures for the MacKay Bridge gets underway Friday, June 7 at 7 p.m.

The closure will be in effect until Monday, June 10 at 5:30 a.m.

While bridge closures are inconvenient, they allow for maintenance and construction projects that cannot be done safely while traffic crosses the bridge. HHB appreciates the understanding of bridge users and the public as we carry out this important work.

All closures are weather-dependent.

Motorists are advised that the weekend closure will cause traffic delays. Adjust your schedule and route accordingly and take alternate transit if possible.
