Bridgewalk 2025: Your afternoon on the Macdonald Bridge

Bridgewalk is making its grand return, and we’re bringing more entertainment, more community booths, more treats, and more fun!

Join us Sunday, August 3, from 2–4 p.m., as we close the Macdonald Bridge to traffic and open it up for an unforgettable afternoon of strolling, sightseeing, and celebrating our community.

Here are just a few reasons you’ll be glad you stopped by.

After all, don’t we all deserve a giant bridge party?

  1. 🎶 Hit the high note with the City of Lakes Chorus — harmonies with a view.
  2. 🎺 Enjoy the beat of the John Alphonse Band — yes, they’ll be walking the bridge, taking the music to you.
  3. 🎈 Balloons, clowns, and tiny cars — the Philae Shriners are rolling in with full fun mode.
  4. 🛠️ Ask an Engineer! We’ve got the people to explain everything you ever wanted to know about the bridges – and our projects, too.
  5. 💧 Fuel up with free water courtesy of the Tool Shed and enjoy our free snacks.  You might even score a  special cookie with our Bridgewalk logo.
  6. 🪙 See our collection of reject coins. Take one home as a souvenir.
  7. 🧢 Help us rename the MACPASS Miles road race.
  8. 🧱 Got old bridge stuff in your attic? Our archivist would love to collect it.
